2024-2025 STUDIO CLASS INFORMATION

We are thrilled to begin our third season at Lineage Dance Co. and can't wait to get started! Our studio proudly offers a wide variety of classes and programs to help accommodate different ages and commitment levels! We are dedicated to making dance FUN while enriching our dancers with a high quality education and experience!

Our staff is eager to get started with our yearlong classes and we look forward to continuing to build and grow our amazing dance community!

    Enrollment will be based upon age (and experience level for dancers above age 6) for new families and instructor recommendation for current Lineage Dance Co. Dancers. During the first couple weeks of classes our instructors will formally evaluate if the class placement is correct for the dancer's age and ability. Should an instructor recommend an adjustment, those options will be presented to the parent and/or guardian for formal approval.

    Any class with under 6 dancers enrolled may be subject to cancellation or combination with another class. A recommendation on a substitute class will be made at the time of cancellation and that option will be presented to the parent and/or guardian for formal approval.

    Note: The calendar has been strategically planned to ensure that all classes meet an equal amount of times!

  • Please see below for studio class levels for the 2024-2025 Season.

    Dancers will enroll in the class based on their age on 9/1/24 and stay in that class for the full season (August-May).

    The age groups provided below encompass the average age(s) for each group and serve as guidance for parents to enroll.

    Note: The Lineage Dance Co. Staff will evaluate the dancer’s ability and experience level the first few weeks of classes and suggest an adjustment, if needed, to provide the best experience for the dancer!

    24-25 Lineage Littles Levels:

    • Ages 2.5 — Pre Combo

    • Age 3 — Combo Level 1

    • Age 4 — Combo Level 2

    • Age 5 — Combo Level 3

    24-25 Studio Class Levels:

    AGE LEVELS

    • Ages 6-7 — Level 1 (Dance Mix or Single Style)

    • Ages 8-9 — Level 2 (Dance Mix or Single Style)

    • Ages 10-13 — Level 3 (Dance Mix or Single Style)

    EXPERIENCE LEVELS

    Beginner: 0-2 years experience

    Offered for dancers who have not yet had any dance experience or have had limited dance experience

    Intermediate: 1+ years experience

    Offered for dancers who have at least a year of experience and are more developed from a behavioral and/or skill perspective

  • We value providing feedback and hands-on instruction to our dancers. An important part of being able to effectively teach and provide feedback is being able to see each dancer’s lines. Dancers are required to follow the dress code for every class unless otherwise indicated via studio communication.

  • Studio classes run mid August-mid May. Tuition will be paid on a quarterly basis with three, equal payments. Tuition takes into account all scheduled closings and ensures an equal number of classes for all days of the week. Tuition payment plans on a monthly basis are available upon request for an additional fee.

    Note: The above tuition rates are reflective of the Lineage Littles Program and traditional studio classes. Tuition rates differ for performance / competition groups and associated classes.

  • All Lineage Dance Co. dancers will have the opportunity to perform in our annual studio show!

    The performance is tentatively scheduled for mid May. There will be one required dress rehearsal and one show performance. The final show date will be released by September 1, 2024.

    We highly encourage your dancer(s) to participate in the end of year studio show! It is an excellent opportunity for them to showcase what they have been working hard on and gain experience on stage.

    For any dancer not planning to participate in the Studio Show, a written request to withdraw participation from the show will be required to be filled out by November 1. This allows our staff to adequately prepare and plan a fantastic performance!

FAQs

 

What is the difference between Studio Classes offered annually and Mini Sessions?

Studio Classes run from Mid-August to Mid-May and train yearlong. Mini Sessions are designed to offer students an introduction to dance in a small way on a seasonal basis! Some students may choose to add a mini-session of another genre of dance to “try it out” before they enroll for the full academic term.

How do I know when my child is ready for dance?

Typically, 2.5 is the youngest age that our classes would be a good fit. Dancers should be toilet trained and able to participate in class away from their parent or guardian for the duration of the session.

 

My dancer is 14 years of age or older, can they enroll in a studio class?

Unfortunately, at this time, our studio classes are only for those that are between the ages of 2.5-13 on September 1, 2024. We will be offering ad hoc training opportunities for individuals 14+ and additionally there will be master class opportunities open to dancers of all ages periodically.

 

Does my dancer have to have experience to sign up?

No! Our staff is eager and excited to introduce dance to your child! Initial enrollment can be done based on the dancer’s age as of 9/1/24. Our staff will evaluate their placement in the first couple of weeks of the session to ensure they are in the right class!

If your dancer is above the age of 6, the studio classes offered at the Beginner Level would be the best fit!
