LAUREN BURNS

Lauren was born and raised in Toledo, OH. She moved to Columbus in 2012 to attend The Ohio State University where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Business Administration . After graduating in 2016, Lauren has been working in Merchandising at Abercrombie and Fitch Headquarters and recently transitioned into Human Resources.

She began dancing at the age of 3 and hasn’t stopped since! She started dancing competitively at the age of 6 and continued throughout college. In Toledo, she trained at Company C Dance Club and the Ballet Theatre of Toledo. She attended high school at St. Ursula High Academy (SUA) where she danced on the SUA Dance Team for 4 years, acting as co-captain and captain her junior and senior years. At Ohio State, she was on the Ohio State Dance Team from 2012-2016 and was captain her senior year. During her time, the team consistently placed in the Top 5 at the UDA Collegiate Dance Team Championship in the Jazz and Pom categories. 

In addition to her own dance career, Lauren began teaching dance at the age of 16. Beginning with her own and other studios within Toledo, and expanding to choreograph, guest teach, and advise for studios all across Ohio. After graduating from Ohio State, Lauren was an Assistant Coach for The Ohio State Dance Team from 2017-2019. During her coaching tenure, the team won three National Championships. Since, she has continued to guest teach and choreograph for various high schools teams and studios in the Ohio region.
